Possible to import images from other photo accounts, ie flickr?
I already have all my photos on another account (flickr). Is there a way to possibly link my other account to expono, so I don't have to upload images twice?
Thanks

Inappropriate?Hello Gleem,
thank you for your feedback and question. For the time being, there is no such service or software.
Questions:
1. How much are we talking about (MB, GB, TB)?
2. Are you paying pr. bit up/down?
Best regards
Your Expono Team -
Inappropriate? We are working on an API which will be released in public beta next week. The API is the foundation for us to build that kind of services. We have discussed support for both import and export to flickr. However, we cannot yet give an estimate of when this will be in place.
The more users who are asking for this kind of feature the higher priority it gets.
I hope this answers your questions, and I urge other users who wants this feature to let us know :) -
A little update: The API went live 3 weeks ago. Here are some useful links Expono API Docs Expono API Home
Jeffrey Friedl was first out with an excellent Adobe Lightroom plugin to export photos to Expono. Check it out here http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-good... -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the replies and information. After giving it some further thought, the functionality would not necessarily need to import the images. My main objective would be in having the ability to reference other photo sources, with a link to its source. I can see it working very similar with how Expono incorporates other services and displays the related information. However, it would be helpful to have some options, such as the ability to categorize and tag the referenced photos..
Hopefully others will have some interest and ideas to share..
Keep up the great work! -
Inappropriate?Thank you for your reply Gleem!
I liked the idea very much and will definitely put our team into brainstorming mode as soon as we can to find a solution. The ability to reference other photo sources has it's issues, but could also prove to be a killer feature.
I can see some issues regarding broken links and missing functionality that we would need to sort out, but I see great value in being able to - as an example - browse, tag, comment and rate my Facebook/Flickr albums and photos from Expono, as well as my friend's albums and photos.
Or even the other way around: having my Expono photos seamlessly synced across multiple services. Including comments and tags :)
Will keep you posted on developments around this.
Thanks again!
I’m excited

Are there any developments around this so far? -
Inappropriate?Exactly, Daniel
You're in sync with what I have in mind!
I appreciate the feedback, consideration and look forward to new developments with Expono.
I’m making it shine

Inappropriate?I rely 100 % on Flickr for all of my photos, it is my one and only archive for GBs of photos, including originals. Since there is no way to easily backup my photos including meta information from Flickr, this gives me nightmares.
Since you are promising local backup I would probably want to move to Expono, but I would most definitely need this feature. I'd probably even pay for it, if I really wanted to move. -
Inappropriate?Any updates on this? Will we see it eventually? What is the best way to migrate from flickr today (without the missing direct bridge)?
